Jump on that big, powerful machine and join the Connections Moto Posse as we explore the scenic back roads around Iowa City. We ride only in warmer weather, typically on Saturday afternoons with periodic Wednesday evening rides.

Saturday Rides 2010

June 19, Iowa City Pride Parade
Be at College Green Park by 11:30am to join us in the Iowa City Pride parade at noon. This is a very slow ride with lots of stops, yet is more fun the bigger the group. It's a great way to meet the whole group and find summer riding partners.

June 26, $20 Fundraiser
This ride, lead by Kim and Michelle, is designed to raise money to support Queer Connections (money will help with overhead costs) the parent organization of the Moto Posse. We will be doing the Anamosa ride that we have done the past couple years. Stops at the J&P Cycle open house, Scooters, and The Motorcycle Museum (entry fee covered by your $20 donation). $20 per person and 4-wheeled friends are welcome. (Approximately 4 to 5 hours.)

July 10, Jewell, Andy and Rachel Overnight Camping Trip
Jewell will lead us to Rache'ls house in Mt. Pleasant where we will set up our camping gear. (We will have at least one 4-wheeled vehicle to carry bags and other gear.)  Andy will then lead us around southeast Iowa on Friday and Saturday.  Saturday we will go to Ft. Madison to play put put golf and do GO-Cart racing. The main group will leave on a Friday around 3pm and return Saturday around 5 or 6pm. (If you can't leave that early on Friday, you can join us later in the day.)

July 24, Kim Trip-to Poopies
Details will be sent out later.

August 7, The Patty Good Trip
This will be a Mississippi River Road trip. Muscatine, Burlington area, lunch and back. (Approximately 5 to 6 hours round trip.)

August 28, Diane and Laura Trip
To Eagle Point Dubuque. Departure times and start locations, will be decided closer to the date of each ride. (Approximately 5 to 6 hours round trip.)

Wednesday Night Supper Rides 2010

The Wednesday night supper rides (May 26 through August 25) are planned to break up the week. The idea is every Wednesday we'll get together with whomever is available to travel to supper. These rides will start at 6pm. The group will only wait for those that send Jewell a text so say they are coming that night.
