Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Student Services A unit of the Dean of Students Office at Iowa State University, a safe space for all members of the university community to explore aspects of sexual orientation and gender issues in an open and non-judgmental atmosphere. LGBTSS is committed to providing information and education that enhances the educational experience and overall quality of student life on the Iowa State campus. ISU LGBTA Alliance The Alliance mission is to educate the community on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally issues; to support members of the community who are coming to accept their sexual orientation and/or sexuality; to provide a source of safe and responsible social interaction with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally community; to provide resources for health-related issues; to strive to eliminate heterosexism and homophobia; and to provide information and moral support to persons wishing to become involved in the community.

Drake University Rainbow Union An organization of and for people of all sexualities. It provides a confidential and welcoming atmosphere to all students: lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, those questioning their sexuality and their straight allies. The continuing emphasis on programming and education culminates in two annual celebrations: Coming Out Week and Pride Week. The Rainbow Union invites all students to join and participate and, as always, makes no assumptions about a person's sexuality. RU supports those dealing with issues of sexuality, resists homophobia through example and education, and strives to prevent heterosexism in our lives and on our campus.
